Introducing Ibi Sofillas
In our transient world, Ibi is one of those rarities – a native Washingtonian. She was born in Washington, DC, spent her childhood in Bethesda, Maryland, and her teenage years in Alexandria, Virginia.
Ibi began her career in real estate 25 years ago, and brings exceptional expertise, energy, and good cheer to her work. Her clients benefit from her life-long knowledge of our area and her organized approach to the real estate business. She is a principal real estate broker licensed in Maryland and DC.
Ibi has a vested interest in Clarksburg. Her sons Alex and Dini graduated from Clarksburg High School. Alex played on the CHS Varsity Football team and is now at West Virginia University studying Sports Management. Dini is at Boston University studying Biology and Pre- Med. Her daughter, Efi, attends Clarksburg High School where she is a cheerleader and in the show choir. Ibi is an active member the PTSA and is the school's Volunteer Coordinator. She also co-chairs the Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Program, and is the founding member of the Clarksburg Business Referral Team.
Ibi has been president of the Bethesda and Gaithersburg chapters of Business Network International, and speaks English, Hungarian, French, German, and a little Spanish.
Introducing Barry Cogan
Barry’s mission is to ensure that his clients achieve their home buying and selling objectives in as worry-free, timely, and cost-effective manner as possible.
A member of the Lifetime Million Dollar Club, Barry is ranked in the top 1% of all real estate professionals nationwide. He holds the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and ePro designations.
His experience as a real estate investor for the past 28 years has given him an especially keen insight into the area’s real estate market, and his clients benefit from this insider’s knowledge of the home buying and selling process.
Barry’s service on the Board of Directors of the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chamber of Commerce and as past president of the Bethesda chapter of Business Network International have created strong ties to local business leaders who are responsible for relocating employees in and out of the Washington area.
Prior to his real estate career, Barry worked for the Navy and the Office of the Secretary of Defense, was a Presidential Management Fellow, and was a manager with Analog and Digital Systems, Inc. He received a BA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and an MPA, concentrating on finance and negotiations from USC.
